CHAIRMAN MESSAGE

On behalf of myself and Board Members, I welcome you and I am pleased to provide an overview of Al-Sidra Association For Psychological Care of Cancer Patients Services. Al-Sidra Association was established in 2012 with an aim as of non-profit Association to support Cancer Patients and their families during the treatment journey and recovery. We aim to work patiently and with persistence to meet the psychological needs of cancer patients and their families which will lead us to leadership in psychological support. The services we provide reflect the importance of positive psychological support during the treatment; however we provide individual support sessions to our patients and their families to make their journey more acceptable. The process of our work is mainly focused on hosting patients in Al-Sidra Center- which is located near Sheikha Badriya Al Ahmed Al-Sabah- or visiting them in wards, out-patient zones, or at chemotherapy at Kuwait Cancer Control Center and its affiliate centers. The research team in Al-Sidra Center work continuously to navigate the negative effects and mental challenges of Cancer Patients may face during the treatment journey, and we work side to side, to make their everyday life during this period a bit settle and smoother. From this point on the services of the Sidra Society evolved to achieve these goals from its affiliate center ”Al Sidra Center”. The team is keen on providing the maximum psychological comfort and creating a positive environment they need during and post the treatment Journey. In addition, We offer various services such as individual and group psychological support, “Look Good Feel-Good Program”, awareness lectures, and multiple activities likes massage, yoga, flower arrangement, drawing, makeup session  Etc. and we extend the support to help patients who are unable to cover the cost of diagnosis and treatment.
